FIMA is the Financial Management Academy of the Comptroller and Auditor General (C&AG) of the Government of Bangladesh (GoB).

It is responsible for giving financial training, not only the C&AG's officers and staff, but also to all GoB officials who are, or may be involved in financial management processes.
 

FIMA can also design and deliver courses for other customers.
 

FIMA designs courses which meet the needs of its customers. The courses are professional, up-to-date and totally practical in content.

 
For the following reasons :
  

to give GoB officials the skills they need to meet their financial management responsibilities; and
 

to help the transition of the GoB's financial management systems to modern principles and practices.

By a combination of 
 

delivering standard training courses in one of its two wings; and
 

in the other wing, developing and delivering a tailored range of new courses identified by key clients as essential for financial reforms.

 
FIMA is being assisted, in this process, by DFID (Department for International Development) which, in partnership with GoB, is funding a project which is transforming FIMA's training infrastructure and processes and turning it into the foremost government finance training center in Bangladesh.
